Chapter Newsletter

Any great road trip needs a full tank of gas and good friends. We will be putting this adage to the test…first stop, Artesia!

We’re kicking off our community gatherings in Artesia on Saturday March 4th. Join us at Southeastern New Mexico Massage Therapy School for doughnuts and networking from 8-11 a.m.! Our board members will be available to talk about the membership experience and answer questions about the benefits of being AMTA members.
Ever thought about teaching a class at an AMTA-sponsored event? Not sure how to get connected? We will have a brief presentation at this event on how to become a continuing education Approved Provider through NCBTMB. We hear the demand for more in-person CE classes throughout New Mexico and we know there are talented instructors across the state with knowledge to share. Our goal is to help you become the change you wish to see within this chapter.
Come for the doughnuts, stay for the camaraderie. We look forward to meeting you face-to-face on this statewide tour!

Online Elections

Interested in sharing ideas and shaping the New Mexico chapter? Our online elections will be happening soon and several positions are up for election. Stay tuned for our call for candidates, which will be released March 5.

See job descriptions for each board position here.

Community Gatherings

Artesia isn’t the only location on our itinerary. We have our sights on these other communities for other events

  • May–Las Cruces
  • July–Taos
  • TBD–Farmington

As the saying goes, many hands make light work, and it helps us to have a few locals that can assist us in coordinating these events. Would you like to show us the best your community has to offer? If so, email us so we can work out the details.

Dan R. Barrow Memorial Scholarship
